George Floyd Square
As part of the LIFT Fund Learning Days Tour this upcoming week we will be visiting various sites in South Minneapolis. One of the stops will be at George Floyd Square, the site of George Floyd’s murder at the hands of the Minneapolis Police in 2020. We are working with a local community organization Rise and Remember: https://riseandremember.org/ to provide the tours through the Square. Rise and Remember’s mission is to conserve stories of resistance to racial injustice and to curate spaces for all people to grieve, pay respect, and be a voice for justice. Their vision is to bring community development in Minneapolis and inspire people to pursue racial justice around the world.
