tilde Language Justice Cooperative is a majority Latine-owned language service provider offering translations, interpretation, and capacity building to further language justice for communities and movements.
Timeline
2 hour Introductory Webinar March 25, 2025, 1-3pm EST: Participants will examine & understand the ways that language shapes their lives, communities, & work environments. It will introduce language justice concepts & “better practices”.
4 hour workshop September 9, 12:30 - 4:30 pm EST2nd: This 2nd session will recap the Introductory webinar & begin building a shared vision for language justice across different areas/programs. Participants will reflect further on their personal experiences with language as a form of power, review key concepts & better practices, begin identifying barriers to language justice at their organization, & begin team-level discussions to establish strategic priorities.
Mentoring Process/Cohort will include by-weekly meetings for 2-3 months, followed by technical assistance sessions “office hours” after the cohort sessions. Outcomes include: written language justice vision statement/strategy, begin a tailored implementation plan, & hands-on, technical support.
Participation: All grantees can participate in the Introductory Webinar, a smaller group can participate in the 2nd session, and approximately 7 groups can participate in the cohort

Organizing 201
A co-learning space facilitated by Ash-Lee Woodard Henderson. This is rescheduled from the fall of 2024. Participants will go deeper into how we exercise power, using leverage and tactics that help move the conversation with the general public, as well as understand what's strategic and what's tactical to move decision-makers and the public debate. Participants will also talk through fear and trust issues especially in marginalized communities in the South.

#8: Vision Change Win Coaching
VCW is an experienced social justice consulting entity providing support to assist organizations in fully manifesting their missions, visions, and values. Coaches can help with exploring a myriad of topics, such as organizational development & nonprofit management practices, leadership development, equity, conflict resolution & crisis management, building coalitions & movement building alliances, base building best practices & systems.
Timeline: Up to 10 one-hour sessions starting fall 2025
Participation: Approximately 6 grantees
How to Register: VCW will send a survey to help match participants with a coach.
